Position Overview: Truck Driver (Canada)
Wilsonart is seeking a Truck Driver to support operations within our Canadian distribution network. This position is responsible for conducting assigned deliveries, loading and unloading materials, and performing associated tasks in a safe and compliant manner. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Loads and unloads materials safely and efficiently
  • Operates company truck to assigned destinations and returns safely
  • Maintains required driver logs and documentation in compliance with Transport Canada and applicable provincial regulations
  • Completes and maintains all required delivery, shipment, and inspection records
  • Conducts pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of truck equipment and supplies
  • Performs basic roadside emergency repairs when necessary
  • Positions appropriate Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) placards when required
  • Reads maps, reviews manifests, and plans delivery routes
  • Maintains an acceptable driving record in accordance with company standards
  • Provides professional, courteous service to customers
  • Assists teams within the distribution center as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada and provincial regulations related to commercial vehicle operation
  • Knowledge of commercial hauling procedures
  • Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements and safe handling practices
  • Skill in operating lift trucks or pallet-handling equipment
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulatory requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class 1 (or Class 3, depending on equipment used) provincial driver’s licence
  • TDG Certification (required or obtained upon hire)
  • Air Brake Endorsement (Z endorsement)
  • 1+ years of commercial driving experience
  • Local delivery experience preferred
  • No preventable accidents or major violations within the past five years

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as part of team-based material handling
  • Frequent standing, walking, and physical exertion throughout the shift

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work may involve exposure to loud noise, temperature fluctuations, and manufacturing or warehouse-related conditions
  • May include exposure to fumes, odors, or moderate risk environments consistent with industrial and distribution operations

MOBILE DEVICE POLICY
Commercial drivers must comply with all Transport Canada and provincial regulations regarding electronic device usage. Use of a handheld mobile device while driving is strictly prohibited. Wilsonart maintains a zero-tolerance policy.

COMPENSATION
The wage range for this role reflects the broad factors considered in compensation decisions, including skills, experience, certifications, and business needs. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications and the location where the position is filled. A reasonable estimate of the current wage range for this role is $24.02 – $28.36 per hour, DOE.
