Deco Pattern Service Operator
Wilsonart, Temple, Texas has an immediate opening for a Deco Pattern Service Operator. This individual will transfer the sheeted material to and from the deco racks and pulls needed material based on production requirements. Performs other tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enters data into the computer concerning inventory, counts, scrap, etc.
- Performs accurate inventory transactions
- Operates lift to exchange pallets, reorganize deco inventory, move empty boards, etc.
- Communicates with all pattern pullers to fill the run schedules
- Pulls all treated and non-treated material for the laying up of the runs
- Retrieves all treated/sheeted material from the melamine collating/sheeting and melamine treating departments to be placed into inventory
- Inspects material for pattern defects and proper dimension
- Pull material for replacements to assembly and/or pressing
- Pull collated runs accurately and in press ready condition
- Works as the puller and service operator as required for weekend work schedule
- Participates in the Lean process
- Cut down patterns or overlay if needed to complete run.
- Perform housekeeping in Assembly area.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards
- Understanding of Oracle and basic inventory transactions that can impact the deco papers inventory
- Knowledge of pattern colors and designs inventoried
- Skill in hand and eye coordination
- Ability to drive a lift truck
- Ability to understand directions from the immediate supervision
- Ability to operate computer to input data
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
High School Graduate or GED.
EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of work experience. Must have one (1) year entry-level experience in the deco paper area of which six (6) months are entry-level assembly. If no applicants possess this experience, the Company will accept six (6) months experience in melamine collating/sheeting, assembly, pressing, sanding, cut-to-size, or distribution. |
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight of 50 - 100 pounds. |
Position consists of working rotating shift work to include week-ends.
ENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff
