Production Operator I - Head Layup

Corestock, Layup
Wilsonart, Temple has an immediate opening for a Layup. This individual will Lay‑up the treated Core Papers/Corestock according to the production schedule, and will assist with Phenolic duties as needed under direction of the Supervisor/Foreman - Core Papers/Corestock. Performs other tasks as required. These positions are for nights, 9:00 pm - 7:00 am, this does include working weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Count the proper amount of core material needed for production.
·Lay‑up the core material according to the production schedule.
·Monitor the visual quality of the material.
·Inspect the run before moving to the press.
·Prepare the lay‑up station for the next run.
·Complete all documentation necessary to complete the run.
·Train the lay‑up people in laying‑up the material, visual quality of the material and how to read the production schedule.
·Read and understand the product specification book.
· Train as Head Layup
- Will drive a Hubtex
- Will operate the rewind
- Can drive a Forklift
- Contech Helper
- Egan Operator
- Maxon Helper
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards
- Knowledgeable in reading manufacturing schedules.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Skill in hand/eye coordination.
- Ability to lead people.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate or GED
Plus one year of work history.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Medium work –Tasks involve pushing/pulling, lifting and standing or using force equal to handling materials of 20 to 50 pounds. |
