- Electrical System Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including running rigid conduit, pulling wire, and installing or replacing light fixtures.
- Ensure all electrical work is done in compliance with relevant codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Automation and Control Systems Support:
- Assist electrical technicians with troubleshooting and repairing automation breakdowns, including control systems and other electrical components.
- Participate in the installation and maintenance of electrical components related to automation systems and machinery.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to evaluate electrical systems and components.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while performing electrical work, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Properly handle electrical hazards and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with other maintenance team members to coordinate tasks and ensure electrical systems are properly maintained across the facility.
- Provide assistance to senior electrical technicians as needed for more complex electrical and automation tasks.
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training in electrical systems or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an industrial electrician or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with rigid conduit installation, wire pulling, and light fixture installation.
- Experience in supporting or working with automation control systems is a plus.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems and automation equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in various physical environments, including tight spaces, heights, and noisy areas.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable working with high-voltage systems and equipment.
- Fast-paced industrial setting.
- Frequent exposure to electrical hazards and high-voltage systems.
- Requires occasional overtime and weekend work, depending on maintenance schedules and breakdowns.
