Position Overview
A Supervisor in our distribution team is responsible for directly supervising hourly employees, setting shift and daily goals, managing inventory, driving success in all KPI’s and/or key business metrics (Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity tc.), driving performance improvements in managing cost and continuous improvement, and team member development.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Organizes employee assignments and training to meet daily customer production schedules while maintaining safety and quality requirements
  • Perform daily employee performance & attendance management actions
  • Assist in developing and orientate new team members
  • Drive and lead organizational strategic imperatives and initiatives
  • Implement improvement ideas by leveraging team members feedback and suggestions on opportunities
  • Assist in developing a culture focused on safety, quality, delivery and cost
  • Communicate relevant business information, company policies, and business updates to team members
  • Collaborate cross functionally with other departments and organizational stakeholders

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or closely related field is required.  Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted in place of degree requirement.

EXPERIENCE

 

  • 1-2 years of experience or 4 year college degree in engineering, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.
  • Experience leading projects or teams in a manufacturing environment is preferred. .

Shift requirements:  This position will work 1st shift from 4 am - 4 pm and will rotate days.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Performing task with team members which includes lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs
