Stacker
Wilsonart, Temple, Texas has an immediate opening for a Stacker. This individual helps operate and maintain the melamine treaters. Insure that material is cut to specific lengths and stacked neatly. Help set up and run the melamine rewinders. All jobs are done with continual emphasis on visual quality under the direction of Checker/Team Lead/Supervisor. Performs other task as needed. This position does consist of working rotating shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Retrieves the proper size pallet to stack the treated material
- Set up and maintain treater equipment to insure properly stacked and cut material
- Stack material according to specified length and width from Product Quality Department
- Monitors the quality of the treated sheet
- Inspects material for pattern defects, crumbs, dirt, wrinkles, water spots, etc.
- Sets cutter to proper sheet length
- Changes the completed pallet for a new pallet
- Set up and run the rewinders to produce neat rewound rolls
- Make labels for pallets
- Required to complete and pass Confined Space and Tight-Fitting Respirator Training
- Ability to read and understand treater schedule
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Clean the treater
- Assist wet end operation as needed
- Cross-train for the checker and wet end position
- Creates and completes WIP jobs in Oracle
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Knowledge of computers sufficient to utilize word processors, spreadsheets, databases, Oracle, and WIP transactions
- Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the Melamine Department and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Ability to be comfortable and safety conscious when operating machinery
- Knowledge of mathematics as it applies to treater operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE: One year of work history.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight 50 -100 pounds.
