Position Overview: Fabricator II
Wilsonart, in Tampa, currently has an opening for a Fabricator II. This person handles work in process and applies advanced skills in the area of specialization. Develops skills and techniques to accomplish special applications. Performs other tasks as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares and installs substrate material
- Assist with assembly tops
- Performs basic profiling
- Completes projects to specification which may include, sanding, sizing, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of products and their characteristics
- Skill in hand tool application
- Skill in proper usage, care, and maintenance of hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Ability to learn operation and care of production machinery
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to safely operate production machines
- Ability to read tape measures
- Ability to read kitchen layouts
- Ability to quote post form tops
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Performing task with team members which includes lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs
- Frequent walking and standing throughout the day is also required.
ENVIRONMENT
Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff
