Wilsonart, Temple, Texas is currently seeking to fill an opening for a Master Scheduling Manager. 

JOB SUMMARY

The Master Scheduler is responsible for the execution of the annual laminate production plan for the Wilsonart Americas business.  This involves planning material inputs, scheduling production requirements, monitoring raw, WIP and finished goods inventory levels and leading logistics activities required in order to meet customer demand at acceptable service levels.  Performs other task as needed. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the long, mid and short-term production plan, master schedule and capacity resource plan for the two North American manufacturing plants
  • Set required inventory and lead time strategies needed to fulfill customer requirements
  • Lead the teams that build and manage the daily production schedules for the plant as well as raw material requirements of suppliers
  • Analyze, establish and maintain inventory reorder points required to meet service level requirements
  • Coordinate material input timing to ensure on-time production starts
  • Ensure the integrity of system dates and requirements - drive reporting directly from the system
  • Partner with the commercial teams to respond to customer RFQs, new product introductions and product improvement programs
  • Proactively communicate with customers when there are significant variations in product demand
  • Leading root cause and align with key customers to ensure Wilsonart’s consistent performance to meet delivery expectations
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and ongoing inventory reconciliation
  • Work closely with the Wilsonart Fleet team to ensure the on-time departure of material to internal and external customers
  • Play a key role in the development, deployment and adoption of advanced planning tools (Oracle R12) for both laminate factories
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong expertise in Excel
  • Ability and experience at leading large teams through daily objectives as well as strategic annual goal setting
  • Adept working experience with the planning modules within Oracle 11 or later releases
  • Familiarity with web based tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find creative solutions to challenging situations
  • Strong talent for multi-tasking and managing competing priorities effectively
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Able to identify and assess business needs and create solutions
  • Self-directed and strong team player
  • Experienced with the process flow for order management, production planning, inventory management, purchasing, warehouse operations, and logistics

EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree Required

Concentration in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or closely related field

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years
Related experience
Oracle / SAP or equivalent ERP / MRP system experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. Examples: executive, management and secretarial position
