Today, Wilsonart manufactures and distributes high pressure laminates and other engineered surfacing materials and components used in furniture, office and retail space, countertops, worktops and other applications. 
 
The HR Business Partner uses working knowledge of the business to provide HR workforce planning support and guidance to people leaders. Provides human resources consultation and support to a designated business unit. Analyzes trends and develops workforce plans to resolve issues and make a positive impact on business results. In addition, acts as liaison with other HR functions. May additionally work on mergers and acquisitions projects, as well as new greenfield location startups.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Supports other HRBPs with employee relations issues and tactical initiatives to achieve business goals.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages talent and performance management activities in partnership with leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, drive engagement, reduce attrition, increase productivity and identify efficiencies.
  • Partners with other members of the HR team to execute HR-related programs and initiatives.
  • Leverages technology and HR systems to analyze and generate data-driven solutions.
  • Becomes the go-to-person on Time and Attendance administration questions and data.
  • Collaborates with partners and stakeholders to ensure issues are escalated.
  • Supports internal clients and helps developing / implementing HR practices, HR solutions and strategies
  • Leads change management projects and manages the HR related internal and external communication.
  • Identifies and prepares development plans for the key employees and high potential employees.
  • Supports recruitment activities for talents regionally and reviews talent pipeline.
  • Delivers and executes HR processes, advises and supports on policies accurately and with a service orientation.
  • Understands data storytelling using dashboards and visualization tools.
  • Works with Sr. Director of HR and Talent Management on business acquisition strategy related to human resources and people capabilities.
  • Support due diligence efforts through the use of knowledge of Wilsonart HR policies and people practices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 
 
EDUCATION:  
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business or a closely related field required.  Equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree
  • HR certification a plus
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Previous experience working  on mergers, acquisitions or greenfield start ups is a plus.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS 
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Standing or sitting in the same location; may require to stoop, climb or lift light material (<10lbs) or equipment. Examples: programmers, receptionists, medical technologists, dishwashers and security guards 
 
ENVIRONMENT: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Examples: executive, management and support positions
