Job Purpose and Function
As a Manager of Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to all local, state, and federal laws related to compliance and Underground Storage Tanks (USTs). You will communicate and coordinate with the Executive team to ensure that the company’s goals are aligned with compliance requirements, including ongoing compliance with UST Regulations, Inventory Management and various Compliance Requirements as it relates to operation of Motor Fuel facilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and committing to capital budget expenses for UST, Compliance, and miscellaneous construction projects, and ensuring their timely completion by directing the Compliance activities team.
 
You will also explore and implement modern and efficient construction technology that will enhance the department’s assigned duties. Developing and maintaining engineering and construction compliance specifications for the company will be an essential part of your job function.
 
Furthermore, you will organize and manage all environmental investigations, audits, and remedial projects of company facilities, including ongoing remedial projects and associated equipment. You will communicate and advise the Executive team of UST system release investigations and remedial activities.
 
In addition to these responsibilities, you will oversee software directly related to Compliance matters, including Titan, Veederoot, and other Compliance-related software. You will respond to alarms and failed tests to keep the company in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.

  • Manage and deliver required service levels for a portfolio of facilities services under the leadership of more senior colleagues.
  • Work within established systems to deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated area of financial control.
  • Deliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization.
  • Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan.
  • Help establish and implement customer service standards while supervising a significant customer service team or similar unit. Deal with most complex and valuable issues.
  • Use the organization’s formal development framework to identify the team’s individual development needs. Plan and implement actions to build their capabilities. Provide training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
  • Develop and propose own performance objectives; take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organization’s performance management systems to improve personal performance.
 
 
What We’re Looking For 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably with a degree in a related Engineering field
  • Over 10+ years experience in Fuels and Underground Storage Tank Management in a multi-unit environment. Preference for an individual who has worked in an environment with a reasonable degree of complexity and change.
  • Compliance system experience, preferably in Titan, Veederoot, etc.
