Pricing Analyst
Description
As a Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Optimization team in determining and maintaining appropriate pricing for company products based on a variety of factors. You will have the opportunity to have direct impact on the business through your research, analysis and price proposals in a company that is extremely competitive and customer-centric.
You will have autonomy to drive the department and really push the company forward with new price communication strategies and advanced tools & technology development.
This is a high visibility position with constant interactions with C-Suite Leadership.
This is an in-office role, Monday-Friday, based in our HQ in Doral, FL.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Implementing price changes in company’s systems and properly communicating them to all stakeholders
- Responsible for ensuring company’s products are properly priced in all sales channels and working on issue resolution should problems arise
- Responsible for managing company’s relationship with external vendors as it relates to pricing and data collection
- Learn and understand company’s assortment in order to provide external vendors with proper instructions on how to collect data and to be able to collect data on a need basis
- Weekly Data Reconciliation, Crunching and Analysis on competitive pricing data, company’s product prices and costs
- Provide Senior Leadership and the Product Development team with weekly and ad-hoc price change proposals based on market data, market forward-looking trends, competitive landscape, company’s pricing strategy, margin optimization and other factors
- Report on effectiveness and impact of price changes from a sales and margin standpoint in order quickly adjust strategies that are not working, replicate strategies that are successful and build internal knowledge around price elasticity
- Develop ad-hoc analysis and presentations related to Price, Cost, and Market Volatility
- Communicate and coordinate pricing activities with other departments to ensure changes won’t adversely affect other initiatives
- Provide support for system upgrades and implementations related to pricing
- Respond to pricing queries escalated from Operations, Marketing and other departments as needed
- Responsible for documenting and maintaining pricing processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting
- 2 Years of experience working in an analytical role
- Superior analytical skills and strong financial capabilities
- Proficiency working with web-based systems to extract, as well as input, information
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and document management systems
- Experience with database tools and financial information reporting tools
- SAP, Snowflake, Python & Qlik Sense experience is a plus
