SUMMARY:

 

Bartenders will provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to all customers. They will pour wine and beer, prepare mixed drinks (where allowed), and serve food. The Bartenders will create an atmosphere that is welcoming, relaxed and an overall enjoyable customer experience.

DUTIES:

 

- Pour/ mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for customers of the bar and dining area, following standard recipes.

- Prepare drinks to meet customer dietary needs and requests.

- Receive and serve food orders to customers seated at the bar.

- Follow established regulations and procedures (ABC, health, food, safety, sanitation, and maintenance).

- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption.

- Maintain cleanliness of the overall bar area including counters, sinks, seating area and back stock.

- Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.

- Know product and beverage availability, preparation, storage and nutritional aspects.

- Assist in the restocking and replenishment of the bar inventory and supplies.

- Operate cash register.

- Address customer concerns concerning service and beverages.

- Assist in maintaining accurate retail pricing and signage.

- Participate in regional and national sales promotions and programs.

- Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.

- Operate and sanitize all Venue equipment in a safe and proper manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

- Must meet age requirements to manage the dispensing of alcoholic beverages.

- 2 years experience in bartending/drink preparation.

- Intermediate knowledge of food and beverage products.

- Excellent interpersonal skills; effective communicator.

- Experience or deep understanding/appreciation of natural and organic food.

- Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented.

- Must have a current Serv-Safe certificate.

- Is available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
