Description

In this high impact role as Head of Category (m/f/d) at Westwing Club Germany you will drive the offering strategy of your dedicated category (Electronics, Lamps & Furniture // Kitchen, Tabletop & Beauty // Textiles // Decoration, Arts & Accessories) and pave the road for future growth within the German market and beyond. You will be leading a team of Category Managers and become part of the management team in Westwing Club’s Sales department. This position is unlimited.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • taking over full responsibility for revenue, profitability, growth and overarching development of your dedicated category
  • planning, development and execution of a highly attractive eCommerce offer on an ongoing basis to inspire our customers daily, whilst converting them into loyal members of Westwing
  • develop strategic views on the market, customer preferences and portfolio trends to identify next growth opportunities and optimize your current portfolio
  • building up successful, trusted and long-term partnerships with important suppliers and external partners whilst bringing already existing relationships to the next level
  • leading, managing and developing your team of experts across diverse hierarchical levels
  • collaborating closely with different departments and teams within Westwing (e.g., Style, Partnerships, Marketing, General Management, international countries, etc.)
  • visiting national and international trade fairs and showrooms

YOU COME WITH

  • dedicated interest in and passion for the Home & Living industry with a strong sense for latest trends and inspirational content, exciting brands, best-selling products and an eye for a commercially attractive offering in general
  • 5+ years of relevant eCommerce and/or consumer retail business experience such as in Home & Living, high end fashion, beauty and the like, including the build-up of professional relationships with external suppliers and partners to strategically develop and grow accounts, improve commercial terms, etc.
  • proven track record of strong leadership and developing dynamic, high performing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • dedicated analytical skills with the ability to assess, interpret and derive action from data
  • comfortable with multitasking, working under pressure and independently structuring your own work whilst managing the deliverables of your team
  • high sense of ownership, accountability and drive
