(Junior) Demand Planner (m/f/d)

As (Junior) Demand Planner you will help shape and manage the demand planning and replenishment strategy across all categories. We are looking for an innovator who has the desire to build and help shape the future of Westwing’s Demand & Replenishment tools and processes to manage € 50 million of inventory. This position is located in Munich, Germany, and is unlimited.


  • contribute to the development & enhancement of our forecast and reorder quantity optimization models based on portfolio changes, industry trends and demand patterns
  • enhance SOPs to adapt to change in processes while challenging status-quo
  • collaborate with Sales and Marketing, Data Science and Analytics to incorporate current and long-term market intelligence into the demand plan and forecasting models
  • successfully communicate replenishment and inventory forecast with risk assessments and mitigation activities while addressing demand-related issues with key cross functional stakeholders
  • create actionable re-order plans that balance optimal inventory and availability
  • support the development of our analytical models with SQL queries and ad-hoc analysis


  • at least 2 years of experience (including internships) in an analytical Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Operations Research or comparable role
  • analytical background and mindset (Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, or similar background)
  • proficiency in Excel, Python and SQL (VBA, or another scripting language is a plus)
  • strong affinity and love for data and numbers and the ability to communicate those numbers across different levels of seniority
  • very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a “hands-on” attitude and the ability to focus both on detail and fast execution
  • fluency in English
