Description

As Senior Manager Transportation (m/f/d) you will be responsible for development projects within Transportation and warehouse Outbound Logistics, and manage parts of the operating transportation business for international countries by leading a team of two Transportation Managers. This position is unlimited.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • owning and driving improvement projects along our Transportation roadmap and hence entrepreneurially advancing our Transportation business
  • managing day to day operations for international countries along delivery quality, speed of our network, and transportation cost, and improving all dimensions as well as jumping on and solving causes of problems and escalating within respective internal and external stakeholders
  • leading a team of two Transportation Managers
  • managing the relationships with our external logistics service providers and international Westwing teams on day to day basis
  • closely cooperating with warehouse, customer care, tech, and business teams – as these are critical interfaces for us – and establishing feedback loops

YOU COME WITH

  • academic degree in business, logistics, engineering or related field
  • 4+ years work experience in Transportation, Operations, or Supply Chain and an intrinsic interest in logistical processes
  • you feel well in both the operating side of the business and strategically advancing our Transportation business
  • excellent analytical skills, advanced Excel skills, knowledge of SQL and warehouse management systems as well as creative problem solving skills, passion to deliver results, excellent project and stakeholder management skills 
  • a team and people oriented approach of working, communicating and leading and a structured way of working
  • fluent in English, speaking German is a plus
