Weston Solutions, Inc. is looking for Safety Professionals to support our construction programs. The Safety Officer is responsible for the day to day implementation of project specific Health and Safety Programs.  They act as a liaison between their Project or Technical Managers and the subcontractor and client.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus minimum 4 to 6 years of construction safety experience.
  • OSHA Construction Safety (30 hour) training.
  • Certified in Red Cross First Aid and CPR.
  • Direct experience in supporting excavation, heavy equipment inspection, and demolition are desired.
  • In depth knowledge of and experience with implementing projects covered by USACE EM385-1-1 safety requirements.
  • Experience with overseeing safety for projects that are associated with bodies of water is desired.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred, but not required.
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER and 8 Hour HAZWOPER site supervisor training preferred, but not required.
  • Secret Clearance is a plus, but not required.

Expected Outcomes

  • Serve as the team Site Health & Safety Officer for various civil and other USACE projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of Accident Prevention Plans / Site Safety Plans and arrange for review of all safety plans prior to submittal to Project Management for approval.
  • Assist with the development and submission of Notice of Incident Report preparation, and review.
  • Develop and review Accident Prevention Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Activity-Task Hazard Analysis, and other associated safety planning documents
  • Monitor assigned projects to assure compliance with agreed upon Health & Safety plans.
  • Conduct site and project health and safety audits to assure compliance with corporate programs.
  • Perform Health & Safety reviews and facilitate regulatory and client required safety training.
  • Manage and direct incident/mishap reporting and subsequent investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action support.
  • Coordinate and provide technical support regarding medical surveillance and other associated safety program requirement.
