Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer a large team of professional and support staff, both directly and through lower-level managers.
  • Manage single or multiple clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Participate in and oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of individual project objectives and short- and long-range plans; develop tracking and evaluation programs to assist in the accomplishment of established project goals and objectives. 
  • Develop and establish strategies and operating objectives consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and effective implementation of projects. 
  • Generate and delegate quotes to Project Managers. 
  • Report project progress, strategy changes, and emerging risks to leadership team. 
  • Consult, coordinate, and serve as principal liaison with client representatives, providing project updates, discussing timetables and work parameters. 
  • Approve revisions in project timelines/budgets and communicates with client as needed. 
  • Provide feedback and solutions regarding project issues, engage department head where appropriate. 
  • Identify opportunities to upsell/cross-sell WLS services. 
  • Evaluate risk on a project/client basis and propose solutions to department head. 
  • Lead the business development for the region by engaging current and prospective clients to further develop relationships in the pursuit of future work. 
  • Assign projects to Project Managers based on workload and client relationships. 
  • Make employment related decisions including hiring, termination, performance evaluations and compensation. 
  • Manage Project Managers and help guide, mentor, and facilitate problem solving related to the performance and execution of project objectives. 
  • Provide guidance and support for Project Managers in meetings as needed to navigate difficult or sensitive discussions. 
  • Train and develop Project Managers and other staff as needed. 
  • Ensure Project Manager compliance with all company credit card policies.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully direct, coordinate and lead teams in a high volume and fast paced work environment. 
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions. 
  • Working knowledge in land related area. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of organization structure, workflow, and operating procedures. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor a message to different groups of people, clients, executive management, and employees. 
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work to meet project deadlines. 
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management, with a history of successfully delivering on time and within budget.
  • Capable of effectively and autonomously running multiple large projects simultaneously (20+) with multiple phases and disciplines.
