Compensation: $34,095 - $49,323 with a rich benefits package that includes profit-sharing.
Job Description Summary
This position reports to the Vice President, Information Technology and supports the mail and copy needs to all levels of the company and field offices. The incumbent is responsible for operating highly automated mailing equipment such as postage meters, scales and high-speed digital presses. Occasionally, running intelligent folding & inserting machines is necessary.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency or 3-5 years of mail room and printing experience, preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Previous experience with Production Digital Printing Devices.
- Knowledge of World ship U.P.S. Software.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workflows to maximize productivity.
- Ability to multitask and commit to completing deadlines and due dates.
- Strong understanding of the various postage rates and regulations of the U.S.P.S.
- Functional and mechanical knowledge of Digital Production Printers.
- Some computer knowledge, highly desired.
- Familiarity with Off-Line finishing options including folders, hydraulic cutters, and perforating machines.
Duties And Responsibilities
Mailroom & Print Shop Operations
- Collects incoming mail from the United States Postal Facility.
- Opens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail.
- Operates mail equipment, postage meters, and scales.
- Chooses the most economical means for shipping items using our vendor partners including, however not limited to, U.S.P.S., U.P.S., FedEx, Mail Distribution Services and NextDay Delivery Service.
- Sorts and delivers incoming packages safely.
- Prepare and downloads various digital files for production.
- Operate high-speed B&W and color digital printers and an intelligent folder inserter.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of processed & printed documents.
Administration
- Tracks postage used by different departments using the software provided in the Quadient Postage machine.
- Verifies that all outgoing mail has been properly stamped and dated.
- Maintains inventory control on all printing and mailing supplies such as paper, toner, staples, shipping forms, postal trays, envelopes, boxes, labels, tape, etc.
- Tracks U.P.S. charges using World Ship Software.
- Checks for sufficient amount of postage in meters and requests funds when needed.
