The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and needs for an assigned Business Unit (BU).  The goal of this position is to support the BU in adding value to overall business objectives, providing HR solutions, resolving personnel issues, retaining a talented workforce, and ensuring compliance with regulations.  This is a senior mid-level HR role. All office-based employees or employees meeting face-to-face with other employees are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

A Day in the Life as a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP)

Your day will focus on supporting leadership and employees of Weld North Education.  Outcomes expected by this position include improved HR initiatives, enhanced staff morale, enhanced relations between staff and leadership, contributing to business goals, promoting good HR practices, and attracting & engaging talented people. You collaborate with other HRBPs, HR team members, and the HR Director to:

-          Develop the HR agenda with BU leadership.

-          Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance.

-          Analyze trends and metrics, and recommend HR strategies, policies & practices.

-          Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances.

-          Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

-          Provide HR policy guidance.

-          Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning.

-          Identify training needs for teams and individuals.

-          Evaluate training programs and assist with oversight of internships.

-          Suggest new HR strategies.

-          Oversee BU recruitment efforts; create job descriptions & assist with career fairs to attract top talent.


-          Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field and at least 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relation issues or proven work experience as an HR business partner.

-          Excellent communication skills.

-          Analytical and goal oriented.

-          Demonstrable experience with HR metrics.

-          Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices.

-          Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity & inclusion, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.

-          Proactive with strong problem-solving skills.

-          Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and meeting tools such as Zoom.
