Introduction

The Art Director leads the design team through the planning, conception, and execution of creative efforts across a variety of channels including animation, design, and illustration. This position directly supervises members of the creative services team including Animators, Designers, Illustrators, and Interactive Designers. All office-based employees or employees meeting face-to-face with other employees are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

A Day in the Life as an Art Director

-          Oversees the design, layout, and formatting of all materials to maintain engagement and cohesive product story.

-          Spearhead initiatives to develop new materials for product evolution and growth in design.

-          Facilitate collaboration and a regular cycle of constructive feedback with the other members of the design team and other development staff.

-          Other duties as required.

Qualifications

-          Bachelor’s degree in graphic design and 8-10 years of experience as a senior designer; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

-          Strong visual design, animation, motion graphics and creative skills with the ability and inclination to design at scale.

-          Comfortable producing a wide range of creative solutions, including storyboarding, character development and animation.

-          Superior design and technical skills in the digital space, and strong understanding of the motion design space.

-          Proven expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud products (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, Dreamweaver, Premiere/After Effects) and Animation Software and MS Office (including Word and PowerPoint).

-          Self-starter with strong organizational, group management, and time management skills; self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes and manage the workload of a small team.

-          Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.

-          Responsive and flexible to evolving responsibilities and a changing environment.
