Summary

The CAT Rental Store, a division of Carolina CAT, has an exciting opportunity to join our organization as an Industrial Rental Specialist.

The Industrial Rental Specialist will have the responsibilities of increasing profitable rental revenue and maximizing market share within the industrial segment. As the main way to increase revenue is to grow sales, the Industrial Rental Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships. In order to assess prospective clients, these individuals are tasked with attending networking and industry events, creating new client presentations and facilitating client meetings. They must be customer-oriented in order to explain the products to clients, value sell, as well as be available to address issues or concerns.

This position receives a base salary, plus a quarterly commission incentive plan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Grow and develop rental revenue, as well as understand market dynamics, key customers, and segmentation of customers within the industrial segment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify revenue opportunities within the industrial segment to meet goals and objectives.
  • Offer a full range of products and services to industrial customers along with awareness of rental products within all of the Weisiger Group divisions; Construction, Pinnacle Cranes, LiftOne, and Power Systems.
  • Communicate, assist, support, and pass leads, ideas, and opportunities to all Weisiger Group divisions and sales teams.
  • Maintain and update the CRM tool to record and document contacts and all sales activity.
  • Stay abreast of changing safety requirements within Industrial plants and facilities.
  • Involvement in any relevant trade associations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • A minimum of one year of outside sales experience preferably with construction equipment or related equipment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong planning, problem solving and negotiation skills are a must
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Self-starters who are team players with strong organizational skills
  • Must have excellent presentation and written communication skills
  • Must be willing for multi-day travel
