Position Summary:

Weidner Property Management is committed to teamwork, through a spirit of honesty, trust and mutual respect.  While this job description is complete, some responsibilities may not be specifically addressed.  We are looking for part-time contributors or interns who are interested in supporting our onsite properties and Home Office Accounting team. This role’s primary responsibilities will be processing invoices, reviewing vendor payments, assisting in vendor setup, and various other accounting administrative functions. Person(s) hired in this role are responsible for entering approved payable invoices for multiple properties, in accordance with company policies and procedures.  This position reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor or to a Senior Accountant.  A high degree of confidentiality is required.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enter approved invoices into Yardi that are reviewed by Onsite Team (Community Director) or Property Accountants
  • Review the entered data for accuracy and post the payable batches
  • Assist property accountants with date stamping, filing and year-end boxing as needed
  • Handle high volumes of AP data entries with accuracy
  • Review the entered data prior to posting AP batches and correct any errors found
  • Perform special tasks as assigned by Senior Accountants or Accounting Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • 2 or 4-year degree in accounting and/or finance; no experience is required, as we will provide training 
  • Extremely detailed, accurate, results-oriented, and well-organized
  • Ability to capture errors and make corrections prior to posting the AP batches, with critical and analytical mindset
  • Good communication and organizational skills required
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to commit minimum 10 hours a week is required (20 – 40 hour/week is preferred)
  • Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
  • Maintain good working relationship with Weidner team and high level of professional maturity
