Wee Care Child Development is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers!
Age groups: Toddlers, Twos, Preschool
 
To be qualified for Lead Teacher positions, candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have the ability to pass all background checks and have at least one of the following:
  • Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field AND 2+ years of childcare experience
  • Associate's degree + 30 credit hours in early childhood education or related field AND 3+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field
  • Bachelor's degree + 30 credit hours in early childhood education or related field AND 1+ years of experience
 Required Shift: Monday - Friday, based on center needs 
 
Compensation: $16-18 per hour, based on education and experience (+$500 Sign on bonus)

Main Job Responsibilities:       
  • Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.  
  • Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.  
  • Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children. 
  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.  
  • Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May. 
  • Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs. 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role. 
  • Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
