Van Driver/Floater Teacher

Child Prodigy East, in Lee's Summit, is a licensed childcare center seeking a full-time School Age Van Driver/Floater Teacher!
To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, valid Class E or Chauffer's license, and the ability to pass all background checks. Must be 23 years of age or older. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!
Required Shift: Monday - Friday, full-time, 8am-4:30pm
Compensation: $16-$17.50/hour, based on education and experience
Location: 1905 E Langsford Rd, Lees Summit

Main Job Responsibilities:
- Transport children daily while following state regulations and health regulations pertaining to duties.
- Follow proper protocol and submit required paperwork to Director in a timely manner.
- Communicate with parents effectively both written and verbally.
- Support coordinating field trips and communicate logistics, procedures and expectations to administration, teachers, and parents.
- Mentor and train substitute Bus drivers to cover absences.
- Maintain the vehicle according to state regulations.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe bus.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
