Position Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our WebMD datateam.  You will work side-by-side with QA team members and data engineers to create and deliver quality and performant solutions for our Reporting, Analytics and Research teams  serving our rapidly growing private health portal business.  An ideal candidate for this position can jump into our on-going project, come up to speed quickly, and integrate well with our existing diverse team members. We expect excellent knowledge of software testing practices, high quality SQL Server skills, and the ability to work well in a team and communicate well both within and outside of the team. 

Education:

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ equivalent work experience in QA

Responsibilities:

• Create and execute test cases based on test strategy
• Use appropriate test methods
• Reading and writing complex SQL queries 
• Verification of the product for defect prevention
• Perform defect analysis and suggest improvements
• Evaluate SQL query performance and assist in remediation activities
• Develop a good understanding of our business
• Collaborate across teams and departments to lead other QAs in best practices
• Communicate effectively both within and outside the team 
• Identify and help mitigate risks

Desired: 

• Working knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, MS SQL Server Management Studio, Teradata SQL Assistant and DBeaver
• Knowledge of health care industry data formats and standards
