WebMD’s Health Services business enables employers and health plans to provide their employees and plan members with access to personalized health and benefit information, decision support technology that helps them make informed benefit, provider and treatment choices and provides telephonic health coaching services.

The data analytics intern is a temporary position at WebMD, geared toward providing professional experience to a current college student pursuing a degree in an analytical field. The intern will be working with WebMD’s Analytics group dedicated to improving the health of millions of people. This position will primarily consist of entry level data retrieval, report generation, and support of on-going dashboards. The successful candidate will also be involved in supporting a variety of projects with varying complexity and reporting requirements. This analyst will work in both individual and team environments on a project by project basis and will be given the support to develop SQL skills and broaden analytic thought process.

Summer Internship - 6/1 - 8/7

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic analytical support related to aggregating data and interpreting results
  • Perform basic ad hoc analysis
  • Run and present on-going reports and dashboards


  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Enrolled in Undergrad or Grad student returning for the Fall 2020 semester.
  • Majoring in Data Analytics, Informatics, Computer Science, and/or Statistics

Will only consider candidates with an address on their resume that is within reasonable commuting distance to our office. Relocation/housing assistance is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required
