WebMD is searching for an HR Business Partner to help develop and implement HR strategies and programs to support assigned business groups. This person will play a critical role in ensuring that the organization drives a tightly aligned, integrated, high performance culture. This individual will help develop, lead and communicate the WebMD culture and operating style, and will play an integral role in building the organization's capabilities. As a member of the HRBP team, this person will partner with HR colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of HR strategy and programs. Key responsibilities include:  

  • Understanding the business of assigned client groups and using an analytical approach to support good business decisions;
  • Serving as a strategic business partner and resource to create the ideal business environment within WebMD by developing and promoting progressive human resources programs that have practical implications for a growth oriented company;
  • Playing a key role in ensuring performance management and salary planning are used effectively as talent management tools;
  • Understanding the core elements of our benefits programs and supporting their administration as needed;
  • Helping to onboard high caliber talent into WebMD;
  • Partnering with Talent Acquisition in an effort to identify, attract and hire the best talent in the market;
  • Effectively managing the organization’s employee relations activities to maintain a work environment that supports effective, productive contributions and an opportunity for growth for all employees;
  • Partner with Training and Development to create and deliver impactful employee and manager education programs. 


  • BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Business or a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience required;
  • 6+ years’ experience working in Human Resources with 3+ years in the HR Partner or Generalist role, preferably in a high tech or healthcare related industry
  • Strong analytical skills, plus the ability to use Excel and PowerPoint as business tools, required
  • Strong background dealing in employee relations, HR policies and procedures as well as a high level of attention to detail is required
  • Web/On-site training experience
  • Experience supporting an international client base preferred;
  • Working knowledge of federal and state laws and OFCCP regulations relating to human resources and recruiting is a plus
  • Prior experience working with all levels of employees and leaders to collaborate and bringing innovative business solutions to the workplace
