The Clinical Content Coordinator coordinates the development, review, and maintenance of health content for Company clients such as healthcare organizations to post on their websites or IT infrastructures, distribute as print products, or otherwise consume. Clients may include the nation’s top hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, and health plans. The Clinical Content Coordinator ensures the clinical quality and accuracy of digital and print patient education, consumer health content, and multimedia products by working with the Krames Content Team or similar to develop new content and conduct medical review.

Is responsible for the clinical accuracy of an assigned group of specialties, and conducts medical review on those assets, meeting assigned deadlines.
Coordinates with medical editors and writers when reviewed documents are ready for editing and publishing.
Trains new medical reviewers and monitors reviewer performance and work to answer questions or resolve problems.
Participates in Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) accreditation and National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) certification processes and assures content meets these standards.
Identifies gaps in content for various digital and print products and develops new content outlines and storyboards for medical writers.
Works closely with Product Managers or similar to identify new content requirements for various products.
Researches information and assists in developing responses to client questions/comments. Responds in a professional and knowledgeable manner to customer inquiries about content.
Monitors medical literature for new developments that would apply to content libraries.
Maintains clinical expertise/knowledge-base through attendance at ongoing educational opportunities and clinical experiences where possible or directed.
Uses the time reporting system; signing and reporting all exception time on a weekly basis.
Completes other administrative tasks, such as travel and expense reporting or similar, in a timely manner.
Performs responsibilities in a professional manner, meeting the Company’s mission and goals.
This job does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a four (4) year college or university and three (3) or more years’ related experience and/or training are required for this position. Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant and at least three (3) years of clinical experience are preferred, or, six (6) years’ minimum clinical experience or experience in a teaching position in a nursing or physician assistant program.
Preferred candidates will have experience reviewing and editing in an online environment, as medical review work is conducted electronically in a content management system. Training in informatics or experience working with billing codes or standard clinical terminologies is a plus.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Must demonstrate a command of the English language (read, write and speak).
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Editing tools software; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software, and any other software or system necessary for fulfilling the requirements of this position.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN); certification in a specialty area highly desired but not required. If licensed, maintenance of professional license required.
