Job Summary:

The HR Associate is part of a centralized group within HR that supports about 2000 employees in the US. He/she works closely with the HR Business Partners to provide HR support to the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to employment, compensation, performance management, and training & development.
  • Handles routine HR policy, employment, HRIS, and process-related inquiries from employees and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Uses HRIS system to process employee transactions such as promotions, terminations, tuition reimbursement, and salary increases.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation
  • Responds to audits and data inquiries
  • Supports annual training through the Learning Management System
  • Prepares reports using HRIS and other systems
  • Proactively identifies and suggests HR process improvements
  • Manages i9 process to verify the identity and employment authorization of new employees hired within the US and ensures all forms are valid before expiration
  • May participate in projects with other HR team members on a variety of topics
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred
