Responsibilities
WebMD – the most recognized and trusted brand of consumer health information - seeks a
Senior Director to manage several Consumer Marketing teams and functions.
 
The Senior Director, Consumer Marketing will be leading an 8-10 person Marketing Solutions
team focused on developing compelling integrated marketing campaigns for WebMD’s
pharmaceutical, CPG and health systems clients.  In addition this individual will manage a
Director of Sales Development and a Director of Revenue Management and Performance
Solutions. WebMD’s consumer marketing teams directly support and drives results for a sales
team who are at the top of their industry.
 
He/she will work closely with their counterparts on the Product Marketing, Marketing Sciences,
Finance and Sales Management teams to assure that our product suite aligns to market needs
while meeting corporate revenue and EBITA objectives. They will provide input and feedback to
enhance, adapt and customize our offerings as needed.
 
Responsibilities Include:
 Manage a group of 10-12 marketing managers and directors, including several
supervisors within the team
o Build, develop and manage team capable of delivering business goals
o Mentor team members to achieve objectives, resolve problems and
grow into leadership roles
o Recommend and develop policies, procedures and systems to meet
business objectives
o Proactively address employee performance issues and complete
performance reviews

 Provide product and marketplace expertise to support prospective sales by
addressing advertiser needs around capabilities, customization requests,
performance measurement and solution configuration
 Oversee Sales Development activities to articulate WebMD value proposition in
sales collateral and client presentations as well sales meeting / training support
 Present campaign recommendations to key senior level clients and agencies in
partnership with WebMD’s sales team
 Utilize strong problem solving and communications skills to work effectively
across diverse cross-functional organization
      
 
Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
 15+ years experience in digital media/advertising in a strategy, marketing, biz
dev, or other relevant role
 7+ years management experience

 Highly self-motivated, self-confident and capable of juggling multiple priorities
in a fast-paced client-focused environment
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present and
articulate solutions to clients as well as internal stakeholders
 Pharmaceutical consumer marketing (DTC) experience strongly preferred
 Understanding of online advertising ecosystem a plus
 Proficiency with Microsoft office and Sales Force
