Branded Content/Marketing Copywriter

WebMD, the most recognized and trusted brand of health information is looking for a Branded Content/Marketing Copywriter to support DNA, the branded content division of WebMD. The Branded Content/Marketing Copywriter will report directly to the Creative Director and will be responsible for creating copy—article, infographic, slideshow and more—for custom advertiser programs across CPG, Pharma and Health Systems verticals. In addition, the copywriter will be responsible for supporting pre-sales marketing initiatives—developing copy and supporting content strategy for RFPs and new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for writing content that helps brands engage their target audience, loves to learn about new topics through research and a self starter who loves crafting compelling messages across mediums.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research subject matter and write copy for branded content and other marketing materials, including but not limited to banners, branded emails, marketing promotion, articles, infographics and video scripts
  • Align advertiser messaging to WebMD’s health-focused voice
  • Translate client proposals into actionable ideas
  • Collaborate with designers to develop written content that can be brought to life visually
  • Partner with the Creative Director and Sales leads to develop content strategies and marketing copy for new business proposals and client facing materials
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations
  • Work cross functionally with the Content Strategy, Marketing, Sales and Account Management departments
  • Provide guidance and direction to video production teams to develop and shape concepts, treatments, scripts and creative messaging

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in creative copywriting for brands or within publisher environments
  • Experience in marketing, advertising, creative agency, or media organization
  • A portfolio highlighting a track record of compelling, well-crafted content
  • A diversified voice, with the ability to adjust to unique brands
