Responsibilities:

Do you have knowledge on the latest clinical patient management strategies and emerging pharmaceuticals? Have you supported business development efforts by understanding and communicating our client’s business needs? Medscape is seeking a passionate, adaptable, team-oriented Clinical Strategist to join our Product team. In this role you will work closely with our Frontline, MDEdge and Alert Sales Teams to understand the clients unmet needs and goals and communicate those objectives to our Editorial Team to assess appropriate EED development. What You’ll Do in Your Role:

  • You will be a bridge resource from presale to post sales for our Editorial products including those on Frontline, Alert and MDEdge
    • You’ll prepare internal briefing from pre-sale for the Editorial team
  • Pre sales: Provide pre sales support on strategy and deal configuration and clinical content/strategy brief
  • Ensure that Verbals are set up correctly to reflect what was discussed with the client
  • Vet feasibility of customer requirements from executional perspective and provide approval both presale and when identified, post KO
  • Support AM in prep for KO and client KO meeting -- summarizing pre-sales discussions, articulating client needs, and defining deliverable
  • Development of creative/project briefs, internal KO support
  • In response to identified knowledge, competency and performance gaps, develop a communication strategy for EED development to ensure that EEDs (inclusive of those associated with affiliates) are consistent with business needs

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • At least 5 years’ experience developing content strategies in the Pharma industry and/or business development strategies
  • Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry regulations and requirements
  • Strong team-building and inter-personal skills, including cultural awareness to relationship-build
  • Excellent computer skills that include working remotely on shared networks and cloud-based systems, and a high degree of proficiency using Microsoft Office suite required; web-based data and document sharing sites and authoring tools ( SharePoint, Work Front, Sales Force, Tableau) a plus
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new therapeutic areas and conduct literature searches using public on-line databases
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams as well as work independently
  • An advanced degree in life sciences helpful but not required
