WebMD is looking to hire a Senior Director within the Marketing Sciences team to support its Consumer Services business. This is a leadership role with the following responsibilities:

  • Provide a strategic oversight and help manage WebMD’s “strategic campaigns” sponsored by Pharma and CPG clients
  • Partner with other analytical functions such as Business Intelligence, Statistical Services and Market Research to closely monitor the performance of strategic campaigns
  • Develop a sound campaign optimization strategy, as necessary, to maximize performance against primary and secondary KPIs
  • Collaborate with internal delivery teams and provide an oversight to ensure seamless execution of campaign optimization strategies
  • Serve as an analytical client-liaison and lead client meetings along with the sales team, to
    • Address campaign performance and optimizations
    • Articulate value and success of WebMD campaigns
    • Help secure the renewals

(Under normal circumstances this position will require traveling to client locations, 20% - 35% traveling time)

  • Keep a keen eye for emerging trends across campaigns and develop preemptive strategies to mitigate risk and to capitalize on opportunities
  • Manage and mentor direct report(s) and support other business needs as necessary

Experience:

  • 10+ years relevant experience
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to construct detailed financial, response and/or impact models and present to internal teams as well as to client
  • High energy, disciplined self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Successful track record of thought-partnership, team work and leadership
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (for both client- and internal-facing interactions) – ability to distill complex concepts into easily understandable presentations
  • Experience with a Healthcare Media Agency with direct-to-consumer focus is a plus
