Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BI Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-wide Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Power BI, Azure Data Services, SQL, Excel, and SharePoint to deliver impactful data solutions, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that drive data-driven business decisions. This role will partner closely with key business stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into effective BI solutions.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, including experience as a Power BI Architect or Lead Developer.
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service: DAX, Power Query (M), Dataflows, Gateways, and Workspaces.
- Proficiency in SQL: writing complex queries, stored procedures, optimizing performance in SQL Server or Azure SQL Database.
- Solid experience with Azure Data Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data modeling, Power Query, and advanced formulas.
- Hands-on knowledge of SharePoint Online: building dashboards, integrating Power BI reports, and automating workflows.
- Deep understanding of data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema) and BI architecture best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Azure Data Engineer, SQL Database, or related fields.
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps for BI deployments.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies for project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design scalable, maintainable Power BI solutions, including datasets, dataflows, dashboards, and paginated reports.
- Build and manage Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Azure SQL, Data Lake, Synapse) for robust ETL/ELT processes.
- Develop advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support efficient data transformation and modeling.
- Create dynamic Excel models and analytical tools for operational reporting and decision support.
- Design and manage SharePoint dashboards, lists, and collaborative BI environments with integration to Power BI.
- Lead workshops and requirements sessions with business users to develop clear reporting objectives and KPIs.
- Develop and maintain optimized data models with efficient DAX calculations and Power Query (M) transformations.
- Implement data governance policies, role-level security, and audit controls in BI platforms.
- Conduct performance tuning of BI reports and SQL queries to ensure optimal report refresh times.
- Promote BI adoption across the organization through user training and best practice sharing.
