Editorial Director, Medscape Patient Simulations

High-Level Job Description
The Editorial Director will direct and oversee production of Medscape Patient Simulations and other editorial product lines on medical topics as needed for both US and OUS physician audiences.
Roles & Responsibilities
-Research the clinical condition and provide condition briefs
-Provide simulation outlines to writers and team to include desired tests and treatments, links to relevant resources, and available guidelines
-Work with Simulations Learning Designer and team to ensure appropriate interactive elements
-Perform deep clinical editing, ensuring alignment with recent guidelines and research
-Edit for consistency after each major revision to the simulation and/or script
-Recruit and work with expert chief editors to ensure case accuracy
-Attend shoots virtually or in person to ensure accuracy and consistency
-Perform final quality review and sign off
Appropriate Work Experience
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital medical publishing aimed at physician audiences across a number of medical specialties
-Experience with multimedia elements, interactives, or simulations preferred
-Highly detail oriented, organized, and self-starter
-Ability to work under deadline pressure
-BA required or equivalent years of experience
