WebMD is looking to hire a Director within the Marketing Sciences team to support its Consumer Services business and manage its Direct-to-Consumer digital campaigns sponsored by Pharma and CPG clients. This is a leadership role with the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as an analytical client-liaison and lead client meetings along with the sales team, to
    • Understand client’s primary and secondary marketing objectives and KPIs
    • Discuss campaign performance and marketing optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate with different Marketing Sciences teams (i.e. Business Intelligence, Statistical Services and Market Research) to ensure campaign specific KPIs are adequately measured
  • Leverage combination of marketing and analytical skills to articulate value of WebMD campaigns and to help secure renewals as well as win new business
  • Build strong working relation with Sales and Sales-Management and be a strategic partner for performance-based marketing decisions
  • Keep a keen eye on emerging trends in campaign performance and measurement and help develop preemptive strategies to mitigate risk and to capitalize on opportunities
  • Partner with internal pre-sales marketing teams to articulate the value of WebMD platform and develop marketing material highlighting our analytical capabilities and case study results
  • Support other initiatives on ad-hoc basis as necessary

 (Under normal circumstances this position will require domestic traveling, ~25% traveling time)


  • BA/BS or equivalent required


  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to construct detailed financial, response and/or impact models and present to internal teams as well as to client
  • High energy, disciplined self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Successful track record of thought-partnership, team work and leadership
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (for both client- and internal-facing interactions) – ability to distill complex concepts into easily understandable presentations
  • Experience with a Healthcare Media Agency with direct-to-consumer focus is a plus
