The Program Marketing Manager is an integral member of the Medscape Program Marketing team. This position will create and manage direct marketing plans to achieve contractual traffic goals for direct-to-HCP programs, such as funded microsites/destinations and other digital products.
The role encompasses the tracking, analysis, reporting, and optimization of complex marketing campaigns, with increasing opportunities to leverage AI-driven tools and automation to enhance performance and efficiency. For the successful candidate, this position offers great opportunity and exposure to marketing analytics, campaign strategy, and cross-functional collaboration while working in an exciting and highly motivated environment.
Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create, execute, and optimize direct-to-physician marketing plans to ensure traffic goals are met for promotional online programs
- Review and approve all marketing materials, including copy and creative, in development, ensuring best practices are followed
- Closely track performance of tactics and progress of programs on a daily basis, adjusting marketing tactics as necessary to meet client objectives and contracted deliverables
- Analyze traffic of all programs and provide strategic insights on campaign and creative performance
- Optimize list targeting and segmentation to improve response rates and overall yield
- Interface directly with Sales and internal teams on program performance, providing clear updates and recommendations
- Cross-functionally manage internal teams, including Business Intelligence, Project Management, and Production, around tracking and reporting of marketing tactics and overall campaign performance
- Leverage AI-driven tools and emerging technologies (e.g., AI agents, automation, or analytics platforms) to support reporting, and workflow efficiency
- Identify opportunities to incorporate AI and automation into marketing processes to improve scalability and performance
Qualifications:
- 3+ years combined experience in any of the following: sales operations, digital marketing, digital agency, or digital analytics
- Experience in digital marketing, including email, media, and contextual linking
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Advanced MS Excel and Access skills
- Working knowledge of Adobe SiteCatalyst (Omniture) and Salesforce.com
- Experience working directly with a Sales team (e.g., sales deployment, sales analytics)
- Advanced communication and writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Responsible, accountable, and results-driven
- Experience or familiarity with AI tools, automation platforms, or AI-assisted marketing workflows is a plus
- Knowledge of databases/database marketing a plus
- Pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing experience a plus
Salary range:
$68,000 - $75,000
Bonus Eligible: This position is also eligible for a discretionary company bonus, based upon business results.
