Alert Marketing is an independent subsidiary of WebMD and Medscape, providing data-driven HCP engagement solutions designed to enhance clinical understanding, accelerate learning, and deliver measurable behavior change. Our multi-channel integrated non-personal communication programs include custom mail, email, digital engagement solutions, and research programs to effectively deliver pharmaceutical brands’ messages to targeted HCPs. With over 40 years of experience in healthcare information and communications, our capabilities help customers deliver messaging to a wide HCP audience across all specialties, including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Pharmacists.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to developing and closing new business and growing existing business. The ability to work in a team-oriented environment is essential in order to position highly strategic sales to our pharmaceutical and agency clients. Presentation and communication skills are critical to be successful in this role. Applicant should be organized with the ability to prioritize and excel in a deadline-driven environment, strong account leadership and customer relationship management expertise. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Sell multi-channel platform of ad products, including Digital Engagement Solutions, Email and Custom Mail 
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with agency and brand decision makers, to ensure smooth and on time project development and execution, and impact future business 
  • Lead territory sales development and execution across a range of clients, including preparation of presentations and proposals 
  • Develop the strategies needed to help clients make informed decisions through a consultative sales approach 
  • Ability to effectively track sales pipelines with accuracy 
  • Communicate client needs and expectations clearly across development teams 
  • Meet consistently with internal and external teams to manage timelines, assets, progress, and client deliverables 
  • Work with other departments to streamline processes to allow for efficient timelines, and ensure campaigns performance metrics are met/exceeded 

Requirements 

  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree preferred or will consider related experience 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with a combination of digital, agency and healthcare experience 
  • Understanding of digital sales, business development and/or strategy within the marketing industry 
  • Ability to build successful relationships with brand managers in pharmaceutical companies and agency partners 
  • Responsible and result-driven, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment 
  • Exceptional presentation and consultative sales skills 
  • Outstanding writing and oral communication skills 
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint...), and attention to detail 
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment 
  • Must be able to travel 
  • Knowledge of digital marketing technologies preferred (marketing or agency experience preferred, especially within the pharmaceutical industry)
