The Business Analyst position will be responsible for working with internal business stakeholders to create and design Sales/Business applications for WebMD.  These applications include, Google DoubleClick for Publishers ad sever (DFP), integrations with AppNexus/Yiedex and Microsoft Dynamics GP, as well as other WebMD back office systems.   The current need is for a well-versed individual to help with defining, collecting and managing project requirements, and to monitor the status of these projects. 


  • BS or BA degree or 4+ years of relevant work experience 
  • 3 + years’ experience as a Business Analyst
  • Perform analysis and translate business needs to create high-quality Functional Requirements documentation within specified time frames to solve moderately complex problems
  • Conduct thorough Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with Subject Matter Experts and Development teams to review requirements and document any additional system requirements
  • Work closely with internal customers, technical staff, and QA to ensure the developed functionality meets requirements
  • Work closely with project managers to prepare project plans and deliver status reports related to assigned tasks
  • Lead the User Acceptance Test (UAT) process which includes working with the business stakeholders, developing user acceptance test plans and test cases
  • Review test cases created by the QA teams and defects entered against the system; manage the resolution of defects with appropriate teams
  • Create workflow diagrams of the system and the proposed solution using a tool like Microsoft Visio
  • Develop and/or update product overviews, FAQs, systems-user documentation to support project implementation activities
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Jira, and Visio

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building sales/revenue applications to support the business 
  • Ability to translate requirements between the business and technical staff and convey complex ideas verbally and in written form
  • Ability to understand the sales operations, sales planning and/or ad operations business requirements and managing the process successfully
  • Ability to model sales/revenue systems processes and data modeling as required by the business
  • Proven success managing a variety of projects simultaneously from concept to completion; independently and within a team
  • Experience and knowledge of Media Industry applications desirable
  • Experience with and Google DFP a plus
  • Enjoys a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and thrives on multi-tasking
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
