Role Overview:
LBU Business Justification: A Social Media Strategist position is needed on the LBU team to help with the high volume of promotional programs/events. Additional need for creating awareness of brand and events/programs, and fulfilling program guarantees. There is a need for market visibility and overseeing social marketing plans through various social channels to meet program/event goals.
Role Description:
Medscape is the continuing medical education (CME) side of WebMD and serves over 5M HCPs worldwide. The Social Media Strategists role supports 3 lines of business and requires an experienced social strategist who’s also able to execute the 30,000-foot view as much as the daily production/posting.
Medical experience, solid copywriting, reporting/data, excellent communication, and attention to detail are all essential skills to the role and will ensure you hit the ground running.
Stack includes all major platforms, Sprinklr, and Symplur, Brandwatch.
Requirements:
- Education: BA/BS in marketing, advertising, or a related field is required
- 3+ years experience in digital or social media advertising preferably with a publisher, events company or continuing education, brand with high volume of content and multiple inputs, or agency.
- Experienced with using digital tools for planning & tracking (G Suite, Monday.com, Asana etc.)
- Advanced written communication skills
- Possesses strong organizational skills, great attention to detail, tireless work ethic, an ability to multitask and a thirst for success in coordinating media campaigns and disseminating campaign metrics.
- Knowledge of Facebook paid advertising and knowledge on how Facebook’s Business Manager/Ads Manager tool works.Experience with and/or an understanding of content creation and advertising social media executions on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Salary Range of: $95,000 - $105,000
