Medscape from WebMD is seeking a person with leadership skills and experience in program and project management to help steer the rapid growth of, and drive the success of, our Product Management team. This position will work closely with the Senior Director of PPMO, Product Management as well as stakeholders across Editorial, Promotional, Technology, Business Intelligence, and Project Management (PMO) teams to push forward and program manage strategic priorities and assist in developing and managing the quarterly roadmap. Candidates must be able to align initiatives to core business objectives and have exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

 

The Product Program Manager, PPMO must be able to represent Product Management with internal and external stakeholders. S/he will partner with product managers to manage and operationalize individual products/projects. The Manager, PPMO will escalate emergent issues and identify risks to roadmap deliverables. S/he must have an understanding of core business objectives and priorities, advocating for the needs of both healthcare professionals as well as clients.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Help translate business needs and priorities into roadmap priorities
  • Work well with a cross-functional team; have the ability to influence across a matrixed organization
  • Clearly communicate objectives and status, flagging critical issues and risks
  •      Prioritize time effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously  

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience executing program, project, or process management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, analytic, and decision-making skills
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Experience with the online publishing industry
  • Experience with the pharmaceutical marketing industry
  • Experience working with clinical information or experience within the healthcare industry
