EKG Tech II - Part Time
Description
Salary Range: $40.90 - $48.13 + applicable differentials
The EKG II assume responsibility for producing high quality EKG tracings and rhythm strips, within the Hospital, MHCCP, ER, Pre-Procedure Testing, Out Patient EKGs at 2500. As well as producing high quality cardiac stress test tracings, to include hooking up of stress echo patients and Nuclear Stress tests, Holter monitor applications, and Zio Patch placements, pacemaker magnet studies and uploading pacemaker information for Medtronic’s. And processing all associated paperwork. Responding to of Code Blues within the hospital and the Emergency Room. Using proper techniques while recognizing atypical EKG patterns and arrhythmias.
In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification.
- Successful completion of an EKG Training Program and/or Medical Assistant Program or equivalent combination of education and experience in the medical field.
- Ability to work productively in a busy and complex environment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to demonstrate recognition of atypical EKG patterns and arrhythmias.
- Certified EKG Technician preferred.
