Salary Range: $31.58 - $44.21


Position Summary
The Supervisor of Distribution is responsible for management, distribution, and optimization of medical supplies in the hospital and ambulatory sites along with applying a LEAN approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned other duties as required.


Required: High school diploma
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related business or health field.
Preferred: LEAN certification and experience applying lean principles.
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in supply distribution management.
Essential Job Responsibilities

1.Initiates the acquisition of all inventory supplies and is directlyresponsible for all items stocked in all distribution and par level areas.
2.Ensures that supplies and equipment are properly received anddelivered in a timely manner to the proper destination.
3.Maintains all offsite storage areas.
4.Maintains fixed/moveable asset records.
5.Inspects inventory and supply areas for compliance with policies,procedures, regulation, standards and takes corrective action whenneeded. Ensure that all supply storage areas are maintained in aclean and orderly manner.
6.Responsible for maintenance and optimization of all par locations.
7.Conducts and supervises periodic and annual physical inventories.
8.Establishes and maintains department performance metrics.

1.Supervises and leads Distribution staff directly.
2.Interviews, hires, trains, reviews and evaluates staff.
3.Establishes and updates policies and standard work for the department.
4.Understands asset inventory management and distribution processes.
5.Knowledge and experience with Lean approach to solving problems.
6.Understands GPO and distributor relationships.
7.Participates in Value Analysis process.

1.Schedules staff hours and assigns duties.

4.Coordinates hospital equipment surplus program.
5. Prepares departmental budgets and gathers statistical data asrequired; produces reports as needed.

7.Maintains required records, reports and statistics for administrative,regulatory and budget purposes.
8.Develops job descriptions for positions within department.
