POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Rehabilitation Services and Rehab Education position is a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist. 
Assists with onboarding, orientation, mentoring and support for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Lymphedema Therapy and Speech Language Pathology clinical and Rehabilitation Aide staff to achieve stated goals and performance feedback integrated into performance evaluations. Functions as a liaison and resource regarding scope of practice within their specialty area. Helps to develop and execute programs to meet clinical activities, staffing, facility and/or community relations needs. Assists in the development of and review of policies, procedures, and standards of practice for patient care. Assists in fiscal planning and budget adherence in the areas of Rehab including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Lymphedema Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology. Assists with the department and organizational quality improvement teams and committees, as assigned. Manages the daily and monthly scheduling of the rehab department {Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Lymphedema Therapy and Speech Language Pathology). Provides ergonomic safety and functional evaluations in coordination with Employee Health, as needed, and if within scope of specialty area (i.e. Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy). Duties as otherwise assigned related to patient care. Embodies and facilitates Patient First ethic. 

Qualifications

Required
1.    Holds appropriate degree or equivalent for clinical specialty area (i.e. BA/BS or MA/MS, clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or MA/MS in Speech-Language Pathology).
2.    Holds licensure for clinical specialty area.  
3.    Maintains current Basic Life Support Provider Certification from the American Heart Association.
4.    Three to five years of full time clinical experience in an acute care setting, with supervisory experience.
5.    Ability to provide effective leadership, facilitate working relationships, and analyze situations to take appropriate action.
6.    Knowledge of and facilitate evidence-based practice of clinical specialty and Rehabilitation.
7.    Knowledge of administrative, budgetary and supervisory principles and practice.
8.    Effective in verbal and written communications.
9.    Emotional stability, personal and professional integrity, and interest in growth and learning.
10.   Computer proficiency.  Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software. 
Preferred
1.    Membership in Associations associated with clinical specialty.
