Certified Nurse Assistant -Days- Infusion Center
Description
Salary Range: $32.99 - $37.50
Summary of Duties: Under the direction and supervision of an RN, assumes responsibility and accountability for assignments for designated time frame, assisting other nursing staff in providing patient care according to established methods/policies/standards. In addition to performing the essential functions listed, may also be assigned other duties as required.(For example, transporting medications and blood products from the main hospital to the outpatient Infusion Center). Must be able to walk back and forth from the main hospital to the 2500 building several times per day.
Educational Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent work experience, including ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology and English.
Licensure/Certification Requirements
- CNA certification required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience Requirements
- Previous six (6) months experience as a certified nursing assistant required or satisfactory completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program or experience in the military medical service (US Navy hospital corpsman or US Army/Air Force healthcare specialist) position(s) performing similar duties will also qualify; however, those in like-minded military positions must attain a CNA certification within 1 year of hire.

- Good organizational skills to handle a large volume of patient care activities.
- Emotional and physical stamina to work in a stressful work environment related to patients, staff and visitors.
