Staff Physical Therapist - Physical Therapist Full-Time - Variable Shifts

Salary Range: $60.70-82.07 plus per diem differential
POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Physical Therapist will provide professional Physical Therapy Services specific to patient's age and diagnosis including evaluation, planning individual patient care programs, treatments, documentation, educating patient and family, conferring with other professional and performing other related duties as required. Will work in a variety of acute care hospital units, including Polytrauma, Neuro, Ortho, Medical/Surgical, Telemetry and population will include inpatient and outpatients. Work schedule will include day shift, PM shift and some weekend scheduling. Therapists are members of ESC Local 20 union.

Educational Requirements
- Clinical Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program of Physical Therapy approved by the council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
Licensure/Certification Requirements
- Ccurrent California license issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs Physical Therapy Board.
- Current Basic Life Support Provider Certificate from the American Heart Association.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in Level 1 or 2 Trauma Hospital preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in an acute care setting.
- Experience in Level 1 or 2 Trauma Hospital preferred.
- Work experience with the following populations desired
- Neuro (OP, Traumatic brain injury, Post-concussion)
- Trauma, including Ortho
- Geriatrics
- Critical Care
- Elective Orthopedic
- Medical / Surgical
- Wound Therapy (NPWT)
Skills or Abilities
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Physical Therapy.
- Experience with Physical Therapy skills, patient movement devices and equipment.
- Ability to analyze situations and take appropriate action.
- Ability to express oneself clearly in speaking and writing.
- Emotional stability, personal and professional integrity, interest in growth and learning.
- Collaborative professional open to learning and participation with an experienced team; receptive to coaching and feedback
PREFERRED
- Holds professional certifications in clinical practice
- Clinical experience in Neurology, Wound, Acute Care, Vestibular
