The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
 
  • Organize office and assist associates in ways that optimize procedures
  • Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
  • Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
  • Schedule and plan meetings and appointments
  • Monitor level of office supplies and handle shortages
  • Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies
  • Maintain all applicable permits and documentation needed for the facility
  • Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues
  • Track and maintain organization of rail fleet.
  • Track freight and all associated fees with plant railcar activities. 
  • Process and Monitor PO activities.
  • Help with tracking Daily and Monthly Inventory of products and raw materials
  • Track all mill runs and batch sheets with spreadsheet
  • Work with plant operations on developing inventory tracking documents
  • Work with admin department to develop inventory best practices
  • Conduct periodic inventory cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure optimal operation of equipment, supplies, and inventories with preventive maintenance
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflow
  • Oversee and achieve organizational goals while upholding best practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Must have excellent communications skills both written and verbal to interact with internal and external drivers and customers.
  • Proven leadership qualities.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects utilizing organizational skills and communications skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility regarding timely and accurate completion of work, and a strong commitment to corporate goals.
  • Must be capable of functioning under fast pace stressful working conditions.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English.
  • Ability to utilize a calculator for basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Ability to learn and put in action 5S principals.
  • Ability to self-start, motivate others, work with little direction. 
  • Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
