About the Role
As an Audio Curator at Voices, you will be the final gatekeeper of quality for our diverse range of audio projects. This role is unique because it sits at the intersection of technical precision and creative performance; you aren't just looking at waveforms, you're evaluating the emotional resonance of a delivery. You will work with cutting-edge Voice AI and traditional voiceover data, ensuring every file that passes through our pipeline hits the highest professional standards.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the following key areas:
- Technical Quality Control: Review audio files for noise floor, distortion, clipping, room tone, and microphone placement/distance.
- Performance Evaluation: Assess tone, delivery, emotional accuracy, and consistency to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
- Documentation & Feedback: Identify and document audio issues with clear, constructive feedback for talent and internal teams.
- Project Compliance: Approve or reject files based on defined QA criteria and specific project requirements.
- Operational Insights: Flag recurring technical trends or quality issues to the Operations team to improve upstream processes.
- Workflow Management: Maintain high accuracy and consistency across large volumes of files while meeting strict turnaround time expectations.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who brings some or all of the following:
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in audio engineering, sound design, post-production, or audio production.
- A Trained Ear: Exceptional critical listening skills with the ability to detect subtle audio artifacts and performance nuances.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with professional DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Reaper) and common audio formats/standards.
- Performance Knowledge: Experience or formal training in voice acting, directing, performance coaching, music, or theatre.
- Detail Orientation: A high level of attention to detail and the ability to follow complex QA rubrics and scoring systems.
- Communication Skills: Strong written communication for providing concise feedback.
- Assessment Ready: Ability to pass an ear training/critical listening test as part of the application process.

Hybrid Work Details: We are a hybrid workplace, allowing employees to work remotely from home. However, this position requires one in-office day per month on pre-set dates, during which all company employees are expected to attend. Our office is located at 100 Dundas Street, London, Ontario. Additionally, you may be asked to come into the office as needed with reasonable notice.
Compensation
Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000
A typical hire for this role generally falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal equity. Employees grow through the range based on performance and demonstrated competencies.
