At VMLY&R Commerce, we are helping brands and retailers navigate a complex ecosystem of pure-play, direct to consumer, and omni-channel commerce. We have assembled a talented and diverse team of experts that look to design human centered commerce experiences that recognize the needs of consumers, while maintaining a deep understanding of the complex and ever-evolving commerce landscape. 

We are looking for a Sr Commerce CX Strategist who will be an active part of this growing group.

Sr. Commerce Experience Strategist (CCX) Responsibilities

  • Gather and synthesize various data points to create insights that inform strategy development
  • Subscribe to industry news and stay current on client-relevant trends
  • Monitor commerce & retailer trends and technological advancements
  • Uncover insights & provide thought leadership in collaborative, cross-functional & cross-agency team structures
  • Ability to apply conceptual strategy, facilitate brainstorms, and day-to-day directing of projects through completion
  • Collaborate on the creation of consumer journey’s and define channel roles & responsibilities to address human centric needs for client
  • Ability to clearly and convincingly articulate branding, marketing, and creative strategies to C-level executives
  • Established expertise in all eCommerce functions, including Content, Search, Design, and Analytics
  • Contribute to client presentations
  • Assist with business development as needed

Required Skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work streams
  • Mastery of subscription & research tools made available by the agency
  • Authoring industry white papers/POVs on key commerce trends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation development and storytelling
  • Ability to understand pure-play and omni-channel retail environments and platforms
  • Developed knowledge of client industry, internal environments, and tools
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to write project briefs and kick off teams 

Experience Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a multidisciplinary background, including developing marketing strategy, consumer insight, media strategy and/or account planning
  • Ability to travel as needed
