Where you shine

Leads development of client strategy and new business initiatives through an insights-driven, data- backed approach to aid in the development ofclient initatives. Working closely with the Marketing Science, Strategy, CCX, Media, Account Management and Creative teams, this position provides both    internal and client-facing consultative perspective on research, insights, tools, and testing.

What your success will look like

  • Leverage sales (POS), market share, shopper behavior panel and/or survey data to answer key business questions across business categories including CPG, Financial Services, Dealer, and other Retail clients

  • Support Marketing Science leads in partnering with account teams (agency and client) to develop brand growth strategies and commerce activation platforms.

  • Design primary or secondary research initiatives to inform and direct commerce strategies to grow our clients’ businesses

  • Provide a well-rounded and considered perspective on qualitative and quantitative research as well as analytical tools and techniques

  • ·     Research innovative and cutting-edge techniques and methodologies

  • Partner with senior Marketing Science team members in the delivery and integration of conclusions and/or recommendations and actionable insights, including completing complex analysis and creating compelling visualizations for data or strategic storytellin

  • Specific job functions include partnering with Marketing Science team members to:

    • Assess true client problem to solve and define key objectives, recommend and design  appropriate methodologies based on business questions

    • Extract data from various digital tools and synthesize to tell a connected story on category trends and business opportunities

    • Write surveys and/or discussion guides

    • Use social listening and secondary resources to uncover trends and guide decision making.

    • Mine retailer websites for traffic, engagement, and sales data to drive actionable  business insights

    • Visualize data and insights output through Excel, or PowerPoint and Keynote  presentations

    • Complete data transformation, extraction, loading; merge formats

Who you are and what you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in research field; Advanced degree in quantitative field such as Statistics, Social Science Research, Economics, etc. preferred

  • 5-7 years of work experience performing qualitative, quantitative research and/or analytics initiatives

  • Strong analytical skills and experience designing analytical solutions to address business problems

  • Experience working with media, sales (i.e. Circana/IRI/Nielsen/Retail Link), and shopper panel (Circana/IRI/Nielsen Panel, Numerator) data preferred

  • Experience working with e-commerce sales data and digital shelf intelligence tools preferred

  • Proficient knowledge of advanced Excel

  • Critical thinking; drawing conclusions, find creative solutions, structured problem-solving approach

  • Know the difference between data, information and insights and guide others to understand the same.

  • Bring an innovative mindset to all projects, owning new ideas and bringing forward suggestions for pushing the work forward

  • Proven ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to non-quantitative audience

  • Ability to build relationships across team, departments, vendors and clients

  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills

  • Ability to effectively manage timelines and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000 to $180,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
